UNDER THE SUN
Everything under the sun is HEVEL
Drawn from the language of Ecclesiastes, this series looks hard at the human condition — what it means to live, to suffer, and to search for meaning beneath a vanishing sky.
Here, under the sun, all things pass. Time slips, bodies weaken, and death comes for all. We chase control, we chase pleasure, we chase permanence but the ground keeps shifting beneath our feet. Life becomes smoke, a roll of the dice, a question with no clear answer.
These paintings move between certainty and shadow, between what is obvious and what must be chosen. Will we live for earthly pursuits, seek to master our own fate like little gods? Or will we know, fear, and love the creator of all under the sun?
Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas. Red-edged. Glossed like memory. Each piece a confrontation with futility and a flicker of something more.
